A driveway that sinks on one side but not the other almost always points to a void under that specific panel. Not a problem with the whole slab. Princeton Concrete Lifting finds that void and fills it.

New subdivisions pour driveway slabs on freshly graded fill dirt. That soil keeps settling for a season or two after the pour. That's why so many newer driveways develop a low corner or a lip at the garage transition within the first couple years.

FAQs

Driveway Leveling FAQs

Why is my driveway sinking on one side but not the other?

Uneven fill soil compaction under the slab is the usual cause. One section settles faster than the rest, especially on newer builds where the fill hasn't fully stabilized.

How long before I can park on a driveway after leveling?

With foam, often a few hours. With slurry, plan on closer to a full day before vehicle traffic.

What if the whole driveway is uneven, not just one spot?

That's usually multiple void areas rather than one big problem. We map each low section and inject accordingly, still in one visit for most residential driveways.

Will this fix the crack running through the panel?

Leveling closes the height gap. A surface crack is separate and can sometimes be sealed during the same appointment, but it won't vanish on its own.
